p>Program Budget Decision 710 on Competitive Sourcing PBD 710 revises the Navy's Budget Estimate Submission, aligns the Air Force program with the PDM direction, and documents the approved competitive sourcing plan for the services. ALBRIGHT NATO FINAL WARNING ON KOSOVO I strongly support NATO's decision today to authorize air strikes if Belgrade does not comply with the demands of the international community. Our strategy of diplomacy backed by the threat of force is the only way to ensure that both sides halt the violence and come immediately to the negotiating table.
p>U.S. aircraft attack Iraqi air defense sites INCIRLIK AIR BASE, TURKEY -- On January 30 at approximately 3 p.m. Iraqi time, coalition aircraft were targeted by Iraqi radars near Mosul while conducting routine enforcement of the Northern no-fly zone. A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle responded in self defense by launching an AGM-130 at the radar site. Also in self defense, two F-15Es dropped two GBU-12 precision-guided munitions at the same radar site, on the actual missile launchers. Damage to Iraqi forces is currently being assessed.
p>Coalition aircraft targeted 31 January 1999 INCIRLIK AIR BASE, TURKEY -- At approximately 3:20 p.m. Iraqi time today, a U.S. Air Force F-16J Fighting Falcon, acting in self defense, launched a high-speed antiradiation missile (HARM) at a radar system north of Mosul. The radar system was active and posed a threat to the F-16J and coalition forces conducting routine enforcement of the Northern no-fly zone in Iraq. Damage to Iraqi forces is currently being assessed.
