In a March 28, 2019 memo, Navy acquisition chief Hondo Geurts writes that the Navy is "partering with the Defense Digital Service (DDS) to staff a team of highlighy technologically skilled and driven military miltary and civilian personnel to work side-by-side with DDS experts in collaborative, startup-like spaces to rapidly develop new [Counter Unmanned Aircraft System] products to address the evolving UAS threats."

On March 29, 2019 the Army posted the final request for proposals to open the competition for its Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle to replace the Bradley.
In a March 28, 2019 letter to Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith raises concerns about the Air Force's launch services acquisition strategy, and urges a delay to the issuance of a launch services request for proposals.
