DOD IG Report On JLENS (FOUO)

The Sept. 7, 2012, Defense Department inspector general report -- marked "for official use only" and obtained by Inside the Army -- finds that while the Army has already significantly scaled back the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System program, the system would not have been ready for a low rate initial production decision in September anyway because it was executed with a high-risk acquisition strategy.
