Before Its Curtailment, JLENS Marred By High-Risk Acquisition Strategy

While the Army has already significantly scaled back the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System program, the system would not have been ready for a low rate initial production decision this month anyway because it was executed with a high-risk acquisition strategy, according to a Sept. 7 DOD inspector general report obtained by Inside the Army.
