MDA Statements On ALTB Delays

In an Aug. 24, 2010, statement, the Missile Defense Agency announces an Airborne Laser Test Bed (ALTB) intercept attempt was delayed because of unsuccessful tracking beam calibration engagements by the ALTB against an airborne diagnostic aircraft (surrogate target). Also includes an Aug. 21 statement on a delay caused by a hot bypass valve.
