Navy EIS For Proposed Modernization, Expansion Of Townsend Bombing Range, GA

In an Aug. 6, 2010, notice reprinted in the Federal Register, the Navy announces its intent to "prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the modernization and expansion of the Townsend Bombing Range located in McIntosh County, GA, to accommodate the use of inert (with spotting charges) Precision Guided Munitions (PGMs) with their associated larger land requirements."
