DOD Reprogramming Request For UAVs And Other Appropriations

In a May 10, 2010, internal reprogramming request, Pentagon comptroller Robert Hale asked Congress for permission to transfer approximately $100 million among various Defense Department appropriations including unmanned aerial vehicles Army night vision devices, defense research sciences, the Joint Service Small Arms Program, laptop computer fuel cells, in-theater evaluation of ballistic protection, weapons and munitions advanced technology, environmental quality technology demonstrations, MLRS disposal system, modification of in-service aircraft, combat readiness training centers, KC-130 modification program, Washington Headquarters Services, modeling and simulation, Joint Gulf Range Complex test and training, communications and electronic equipment, understanding blast-induced brain injury, ballistics technology, armed and deployable helos, and overseas contingency operations, among others.
