GAO Report On Coast Guard Deployable Operations Group

In a April 7, 2010, briefing for the House and Senate Appropriations homeland security subcommittees, the Government Accountability Office finds that the "unified command structure established by the creation of the Deployable Operations Group has achieved its intended benefits by facilitating the Coast Guard's ability to standardize training and processes while using deployable specialized forces as centrally managed global assets, rather than local or regional assets."
