Air Force To Fly First-Ever All-Engine Flight Using Biomass, Conventional Jet Fuel Blend

The Air Force is scheduled to fly an A-10 Thunderbolt II jet aircraft on March 25, 2010, on a blend of biomass-derived and conventional JP-8 jet fuel, the first-ever flight of an aircraft powered solely on a biomass-derived jet fuel blend, according to a March 22, 2010, service statement.
