Metz Remarks On QDR, IEDs At JIEDDO Change Of Directorship Ceremony

At a Dec. 30, 2009, change-of-directorship ceremony, outgoing Director of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization Army Lt. Gen. Thomas Metz "strongly recommended" that the Defense Department's Quadrennial Defense Review "recognize the enemy's weapon of choice, the IED, the killer of our young men and women, and require the Department to continue the aggressive efforts to defeat the device, attack the networks and train the force to do both."
