U.S. Exceeds FY-12 Foreign Military Sales Forecast, Closing Deals Worth $68 Billion

The Defense Department is on track to post a banner year for overseas military sales, tallying at least $68 billion in deals for combat equipment with foreign governments in fiscal year 2012 and beating the Pentagon's forecast -- which assumed an unusually large sale of combat aircraft to Saudi Arabia -- by nearly 14 percent.
