Air Force, Northrop Prepare For Start Of ICBM Sustainment Bridge Period

As the Air Force prepares to award a contract early next year that will overhaul the way it handles sustainment of its Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile fleet, the service is getting ready to put longtime prime industry participant Northrop Grumman on a bridge contract by next month to ease the transition to that future ICBM management structure.
