Source: Murkowski Wants USAF To Consider New Mission For Eielson AFB

Alaska's senior senator would like to see the Air Force conduct a study on how to make Eielson Air Force Base, AK, more efficient and possibly give it a new mission, both of which could strengthen the base's role as the service considers moving some tactical fighters away from the base, according to a congressional source.
