Months after it planned to have a new helicopter competition
well under way, the Air Force has announced it will host contractors in Ohio
next week to discuss yet another draft request for proposals for the Combat
Rescue Helicopter. Inside the Air Force reported in August that the
service had decided to simplify its acquisition approach to CRH, necessitating
a new draft RFP, and that document is due out "no later than Sept. 14,"
according to contracting documents. Industry is also invited to meet with service
officials on Sept. 20 to discuss the program's new path forward.
