Eglin Awaits Green Light From Pentagon On Joint Strike Fighter Evaluation

The Air Force official charged with leading preparations for Joint Strike Fighter training at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida believes his fighter wing is prepared to begin an operational utility evaluation -- the successful completion of which would allow for the start of formal pilot training -- pending approval from senior service leaders.
