Appropriators Jam Jammer

The Senate Appropriations Committee cut $20 million from the Next-Generation Jammer program due to delays in the technology development phase, according to a report accompanying its mark last week of the fiscal year 2013 defense appropriations bill. The committee still recommends providing $187 million in FY-13 for research, development, test and evaluation. Appropriators also want the Government Accountability Office to review the program by May 2013 to see if the jammer should become a "joint service solution," according to the report.
