In an Oct. 5, 2012, memo, Office of the Secretary of Defense Administration and Management Director Michael Rhodes approves the Navy's request to terminate the Naval Research Advisory Committee and reorganize it as "a permanent subcommittee to the Secretary of the Navy Advisory Panel." The memo also approves the termination of the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel.
